Buket Aksu graduated from Faculty of Pharmacy in Istanbul University. She did her master’s degree on Analytic Chemistry in Faculty of Pharmacy in Istanbul University and completed her doctorate education on quality by design (Quality by Design/QbD) in Pharmaceutical Technology Department of Faculty of Pharmacy in Ege University and Bradford University (England). She also has master’s degree on Management and Organization Department of Social Sciences.
She started working in Pharmaceutical Industry in 1982 and worked in Drug Registration, Export and Marketing departments. Since September 2015, she continues her academic career as Associated Professor in Pharmaceutical Technology Department at Faculty of Pharmacy in Istanbul Kemerburgaz University. She still works as Consultant in Santa Farma Pharmaceutical Industry.
She is a member of Pharmacopeia Commission in EDQM and ISPE (International Pharmaceuticals Engineers Society) as a representative of Turkey. She has been representing Turkey in EUFEPS (European Federation for Pharmaceutical Sciences) for 6 years. She is still a member of board of directors in TÜFTAD (Turkish Pharmaceutical Technology Researchers Association), ISPE (International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering), ILARUD (Drug Researchers and Applicators Association), and she is also a member of various national and international associations.
Dr. Amin Hussain Al Amiri is the Asst. Undersecretary of Public Health Policy & Licensing Sector in UAE Ministry of Health.
Dr. Al Amiri got his Ph.D. and Ms. C. in Medical Science in 2003 from Faculty of Medicine; Aberdeen University in Scotland; UK.
He is responsible for the following departments at MOH; such as:

· Organization, Licenses& Advertisement Dept.

Zarema Albakova worked as an Expert at the National Center of drugs, medical devices and medical equipment of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Her work involved marketing authorization and pharmacovigilance of innovator drugs, generics, biosimilars and vaccines as well as inspection of clinical trials. She received her Master’s degree in Pharmacogenetics and Stratified Medicine at the University College London in 2012 and Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of Westminster in 2011. Zarema participated in different international projects which were aimed at improving healthcare system in Kazakhstan. Zarema was involved in the joint project of United Nations Children’s Fund, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention “Support of Kazakhstan in Infectious Disease Prevention and Control” in 2013 as well as in the project “Antibiotic effectiveness and resistance in Kazakhstan” of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 2014.
He was born in Adıyaman in 1978. He completed his high school education at Antalya Gazi High School. He graduated from Marmara University Medical Faculty (in English) and assumed the title of doctor of medicine. He got a certificate from Barcelona Pompei Fabra University about “Pharmacoeconomy”. He continues his graduate study at Hacettepe University Public Health Institute. He worked as the Head of Health Group in Kırıkkale/Çelebi between 2001 and 2002; as Medical Lieutenant at Eskişehir Military Hospital from 2001 to 2003; as doctor of medicine at Ankara Kalecik Hasayaz Community Health Center between 2003 and 2006; as chief doctor at Kalecik Central Community Health Center from 2006 to 2009. He started to work at Refik Saydam Hygiene Institute in 2009. He studied on “Development of Prescription Information System”. He worked as the Head of Rational Use of Medicines and Medicines Supply Management Department in Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency between 2012 and 2016. He was assigned as the Head of Economical Assessment and Medicines Supply Management Department in 2016. He continues his duty as Vice President of Medicines and Pharmacy since July, 2016.
Ali Alkan, having a good command of English, is married and father of three children.
Dr. Serdar Alpan is the Head of Biotechnology Group at TURGUT İlaçları A.Ş. since January 2014. TURGUT İlaçları A.Ş. is the leading biotech company in Turkey focused on establishment of a world class biotechnology infrastructure in Turkey and development of high quality biosimilar monoclonal antibodies. Dr. Alpan's industrial career began in 1998 in ECZACIBAŞI, where he served for eight years as a Technical Manager, focused on the strategic drug development for Turkish and European markets in collaboration with global pharmaceutical companies. This was followed by a variety of managerial positions with increasing responsibility in Technical, Clinical and Regulatory aspects of Strategic Drug Development.
In 2008, he established TNC Pharmaceuticals, a technology company focusing on technical, clinical and regulatory drug development services for local and international pharmaceutical and biotech companies. After receiving his MD degree from Ankara University Medical School and PhD degree of Pharmacology from Anadolu University Faculty of Medicine, he specialised in Molecular Pharmacology at Harvard Medical School. He worked as post-doctoral research fellow in Prof. Arthur Pardee’s laboratory at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School and carried out some studies in fields of molecular pharmacology and biotechnology. He worked on the expression of the genes controlling cell growth cycle with using the “differential display” method developed by Prof. Pardee. On mammalian cell cultures, he investigated the genes controlling cell growth cycle and cell metabolism on molecular level.
He became Associate Professor in 1997 and initiated Pharmacology education program at Yeditepe University Medical School in 1998 as the founding faculty. He became Professor in 2008 and taught molecular medicine and molecular pharmacology lessons in doctoral and master’s programs of the Graduate School of Health Sciences in addition to School of Medicine. Dr. Alpan is married and has a daughter.
Mr. Armouti is a legal specialist in Jordanian laws with academic and practical experience in the field of Municipalities legislation, trade, commercial law, companies’ law, securities law, competition law, e-commerce, permitting, and land related laws.
As a legal specialist, Mr. Armouti has a rich and extensive experience in the government for over twenty years. He is heavily exposed to the governmental milieu, which is augmented by a commercial experience related to companies. His interaction with companies and locals has nurtured his experience in knowing the Jordanian public and the private sector. He is also experienced in the legal dimension of mergers and acquisitions .Also he is involved in economic initiatives such as the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, as a legal advisor for pending legal complications.
He is also expert in corporation with judicial authority through many programs and activities he organized for judicial reforms in Jordan.He plays important role in discussing laws and regulation with parliament’s members and prim ministry in Jordan. Kağan Atikeler, Health Technology Assessment Unit, Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency
Kağan Atikeler works at Health Technology Assessment Unit of Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency. His work involved health technology assessment of pharmaceuticals. He received her Master’s degrees in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics at the Hacettepe University in 2016 and Pharmacy Administration at the Ankara University in 2014. He completed European Market Access University Diploma Programme at the University of Aix-Marseille in 2015 and Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy at the Hacettepe University in 2011. Kagan worked in Hacettepe University as research assistant between 2013-2014. He worked as consultant in several market access projects. He worked as Pricing & Reimbursement and Regulatory Specialist at Department of Regulations and Legal Affairs in Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Turkey between 2015-2016.

Aylin Aydogmus earned her (bachelor of law) degree in Ankara University Faculty of Law. Following her graduation, she worked as a lawyer and trademark/patent associate at law firms specialized especially on trade law, including the intellectual and industrial property law. Since November 2005, she has been working at Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Turkey and currently serving as Regulatory and Legal Affairs Group Manager.

Cenk Ceylan graduated from the Electrical Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University and continued his postgraduate studies in Management and Organization at Kocaeli University. Now he serves as Rockwell Automation Country Director of Turkey, of the world's largest industrial automation company.
He started 20 years of career as a Marketing Specialist in Schneider Electric and then undertook OP2 Power Plant Operations and Maintenance Engineering duty in Çolakoğlu Metallurgy Company. Following his experience in marketing and technical field, he moved to the field of sales and took the position of Sales Manager at Siemens Power Generation. Finally, Cenk Ceylan, who joined Rockwell Automation Turkey in 2008, has been successfully serving as Country Director for nine years.
Irina Chublukova is responsible for commercializing of specialty medicines, including biosimilars, for Polpharma Group in Kazakhstan and Central Asia region. Having 12 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry including managerial roles for Sandoz in Russia, also for Actavis and Fresenius Kabi Oncology in the countries of Central Asia and Caucasus, her major expertise dwells in that of marketing strategy, market access, business development and brand management for specialty medicines in pharm emerging markets of the CIS region.
With a background in pharmacy, Irina graduated with the MSc degree in Pharmaceutical Services and Medicines Control from the University of Bradford, UK, and also has business qualifications.
Damon Dalrymple is interested in a wide area of subject matter and has authored publications ranging from bio-organic synthesis for the treatment for malaria to microemulsion formulations for drug delivery. He has extensive experience in the area of analytical methods development and synthetic lipid chemistry; having worked in the pharmaceutical and oleochemical industry for 20 years. Figen has bachelor degree in chemistry from Bogaziçi University and has 24 year of experience in Quality Management departments of Pharma Industry. Now she is working as QA Manager and Business Development Manager of BTS. BTS used to perform electronic Quality Management System implementation projects within Pharma Industry. Dr. Hakkı Gürsöz graduated from Ankara University Medical Faculty and assumed the title of doctor of medicine. He completed his education at Anatolian University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics which he started in 2011. Chemical engineer from Montpellier, Nicolas completed his studies with a PhD in organic and polymer sciences followed by a postdoctoral scholarship financed by Ciba Geigy on synthesis of copolymers as specific transportation vector for drugs in the body.
Nicolas started his industrial career in the ink jet printing before joining Capsugel where he started as research engineer and evolved in different departments from formulation, to Licaps production and now as Business development manager. During his career, Nicolas was the author of several articles and filed patents in gelatin composition, pharmaceutical formulation and dietary supplement products.
Selin Arslanhan Memis, Program Director of Innovation Studies at TEPAV
Selin Arslanhan Memiş is the Program Director of Innovation Studies overseeing think tank and consultancy activities in the areas of industrial policy, technology, innovation and health policy. She joined TEPAV (The Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey) in 2008. She holds a B.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Istanbul University and an MBA degree from TOBB Economy and Technology University. Khamusi Mutoti is a Biological Medicines Regulatory Scientist who is currently heading the biological medicines registration/regulation unit invoved in the dossier review for all the Biological Medicines in South Africa which includes :Vaccines, Plasma Derived Medicines, Biopharmaceuticals and Biosimilars. Claudia Palme is a partner and managing director with boutique consulting firm 55east in Dubai, UAE. She works as a senior advisor with the global and local Life Sciences and Health Care industry, focusing on new business models in Health Care, expansion in emerging markets, growth and restructuring strategies and investments in the Middle East and Africa. Claudia spent over 15 years in senior management roles in the pharmaceutical industry at Amgen and Novartis and in strategy consulting at the Boston Consulting Group and booz & company across geographies including Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. Most recently, she was head of Strategic Planning and Operations for the Middle East and Africa region at Amgen, where she led Amgen’s regional expansion and business development, including market entries into Iran and Africa and the integration of Mustafa Nevzat’s generics business.
Claudia holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Harvard and a Master’s in Economics and Business Administration from LMU Munich. She has co-published a book on economic and social policy reforms in Germany and papers on German health care reform.

Dr. Yacine Sellam, Pharm.D., Ph.D., holds the position of Assistant General Director at Institut Pasteur of Algeria, a public organization involved with R&D in the field of infectious and neglected diseases. He acted as Regulatory Evaluator & Permanent Secretary of the Economic Committee in charge of drugs pricing at the General Directorate of Pharmacy and Health Equipments. He is Second Secretary of the Algerian Society of Pharmacy and Legal Advisor to MoH.

Fatma Taman holds the position of General Manager at PharmaVision, a pure contract manufacturing company serving both local and international pharmaceutical markets. Following her study at Westfalische Wilhelms University in Germany, she has completed her Pharmacy study at Istanbul University. She has more than 25 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and management. In addition to her experience on various technologies on API and finished drug product manufacturing, she has also managed research and development departments in several pharmaceutical companies in Turkey. Supporting Pharmacy Faculties as guest speaker, she has been delivering lectures in Pharmaceutical Engineering sessions for 8 years, mainly at Istanbul University. Currently, she is the Chair of ISPE Turkey Affiliate, and Director–ISPE International Board of Directors. She also served as past Vice-Chair of ISPE Global, European Affiliate Council.
Turgut Tokgoz earned his BSc in Economics from the Middle East Technical University (METU). He completed his graduate studies in International Relations and Economics at The Johns Hopkins University and University of California at Santa Barbara, respectively. He worked as an economist and lobbyist in the capital markets. Since April 2004, he serves as the Secretary General of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Turkey.
Cüneyt Toros began to work as a stock exchange correspondent in the Yeni Yüzyıl Newspaper in 1994, after nearly 2 years of Cumhuriyet Newspaper. Having worked in the Economy Service of Milliyet Newspaper for a short time, he started to work as economics editor at Sabah Newspaper. He worked as an editor and Assistant Economy Manager at the Economy Department of Sabah Newspaper until 2001. After leaving the media sector for about 1 year, he returned to the Economy Service of Sabah Newspaper in 2002 as Deputy Principal. In 2005, he was appointed as Economy Manager to Sabah Newspaper. In 2008, he began working as an executive editor in Haberturk Economy Newspaper. In 2010, he started working at Doğuş Group under the title of CNBC-e TV Deputy Executive Editor. His main task was to set up the channel's website, cnbce.com as well as dealing with the contents of channel. In 2012, saying "yes" to the offer of New Corp’s Dow Jones Company, he started working as an executive editor in the Wall Street Journal Turkey's website (www.wsj.com.tr) and the Wall Street Journal Turkey. He managed the entire process of finding the editorial team and establishing the website of WSJ Turkey. In 2015, he was in charge of MSN Turkey Executive Editor for a short period of time. He is currently the Publishing Director of Fortune Turkey.
Nicola Travierso, has a degree in Pharmacy, PhD in Law, and MBA. His career began in the early ‘80s in the marketing of consumer goods, working for the German multinational company Henkel GMBH, in the product management department. In 1985 he moved into the Pharmaceutical Industry – Business development & Licensing in & out, marketing and sales for several multinational as well as national companies. In early 2000, he started as an entrepreneur. In the Q2 of 2000, he created a Parallel trade and Wholesaler activity, in Pharmaceuticals.
In 2002, the Pharmaceutical company NTC was established by Nicola Travierso. The Company which was sold in March 2015, to an investment fund. And in 2007, he acquired shares in a Nanotechnology Company in Italy (NANOVECTOR).
In 2015, Nicola Travierso created a Joint Venture Company, VELIT Biopharmaceuticals GMBH; the company is working in the R6D of Orphan drug, Biopharmaceuticals, Biobetter and Nanopharmaceuticals. The development is mainly due at its own R&D and pilot plant.
Nicola Travierso is author of more than 20 publication in international magazines and he is a speaker at various international conferences.
