Visa Information

If you need a visa to enter Germany it is important that you start making the arrangements as soon as possible.

Do you need a Visa?

If you are an EU National, or from Australia, Canada or the USA, then you are not required to obtain a visa to enter Germany (for visits not exceeding 90 days). Please see this document for further information regarding entry requirements from these countries. For all other countries you are advised to contact the embassy in your country. Invitation Letters

If you do require a visa to enter Germany, then you will need a letter of invitation from us to support your application. You can obtain this easily by completing the visa section in the visitor registration module (please have your passport details to hand). When you select a country from which it is necessary to obtain a visa, the letter will be automatically generated, which you can then print.

Other documents required to obtain a Visa

• Passport with at least three months' validity beyond period of visa, with at least one blank page
• Application form
• Colour passport-size photo
• Proof of health insurance, covering at least £20 per day, and valid for all Schengen states
• Fee (payable in cash only)
