We have rescheduled the event out of the busy summer holiday season and back to a more traditional CPhI Worldwide calendar slot taking place from 9th – 11th November 2021, at the original venue, Fiera Milano.
The new dates will also hopefully ensure COVID vaccination programmes are well advanced, creating more certainty around international travel and ensuring the event is as successful as possible, delivering you the same opportunities and the experience you’ve come to expect from CPhI Worldwide.
We wanted to inform our visitors and exhibitors as soon as possible so that you have ample time to rearrange your travel and accommodation as necessary.
Your account representative will get in touch with you in due course, so we kindly ask for your patience. For any urgent queries, contact your account representative and they will be able to assist you. If you are unsure who your account representative is then please contact our customer service team and they will find the correct contact: [email protected]
As an organizer of more than 400 shows around the world, while always prepared for all possible scenarios, we are confident the show will take place in November 2021. For CPhI Worldwide, as long as there is not a ban on events, we have already investigated and planned all possible options to hold the show and keep it safe. As the situation and related regulations can change at any moment, we are ready to adapt our measures, actions and activities to reflect these changes.
The event is being organised in accordance with the industry-wide AllSecure Standard to ensure the highest standards of safety, hygiene, cleanliness and operational effectiveness for all participants. We are now successfully trading AllSecure live events in China, Japan, UAE and the United States based on these standards. Please see the full document included here for more details.
While the number of visitors is one of the event industry’s metrics to measure the success of a trade show, we always believe that quality should take precedence over quantity. Therefore, should we ever consider taking such a step, the number of visitors will not alone be a measure or a criteria on which to base such a decision.
That is why we will focus on the ROI of more than one or two criteria. And this will be based on timely market surveys, detailed analysis and projections.
We will follow all local government rules that are in place at the time of the event including hall and venue density.
Our hybrid model is based on engaging all attendees and visitors both before and after the in-person event. Unlike previous editions, we will enable attendees to access the matchmaking platform post-show to give them a chance to network in case they are unable to travel. Other platforms like CPhI Discover, Webinar series etc. will provide those companies that are unable to exhibit with opportunities to engage and network.
For the time being, the decision has already been taken to hold the show and we are preparing for that. However, we will still regularly monitor closely local and international developments with our partners and local authorities. If such a decision needs to be made, it will be timely to minimize the impact.
Do not under any circumstances sign any form from: Expo Guide, ExpoFairs, FairGuide.com, Construct Data Verlag, Tradeconference.info, Fair Express Ltd, GETAFairs & Business, Direct Publisher, International Fairs Directory, GoFair.
These target companies through legitimate exhibition guides. Their current activities cover companies throughout Europe, the Americas and Asia. Expo Guide claims to offer online listing services. They use a form which resembles an organiser's free catalogue listing service, inviting exhibitors to complete the form for an entry in an on-line directory. Unsuspecting exhibitors who sign and return the form are then contracted into a three-year, non-retractable agreement, which could cost you a significant amount of money, with no foreseeable benefits. Included in their group is debt collection agency Gravis Inkasso Gmbh and Swiss debt collection agency Premiumn Recovery AG (a Construct Data subsidiary) which works in partnership with the various guides to intimidate exhibitors into paying.
These publications have no connection with us or any of our events. We strongly advise our exhibitors, and the entire exhibition community, to be most vigilant against this and similar organisations. There are many so-called guides that mail deceptive contracts and then harass those who sign them in error for money. However the sheer scale and systematic way in which these guides attack exhibitors is outrageous. The industry’s AllSecure standard will be applied to both stand design management and onsite health and safety controls, aligned to local authority’s statutory legislation and venue regulations. All stand design regulations are published in the Online Exhibitor Manual.
The exhibitor manual is now live. Login details have been emailed to you. If you have not received them, please reach out to our customer service team [email protected] to request them. Our H&S consultants, Abraxys, are also available to assist with early enquires to guide principle contractors with stand design measures ahead of the manual release.
With the implementation of Informa AllSecure standard, we have adapted meeting spaces to be fully compliant but also to fulfil the needs of our attendees. We will be having bigger meeting lounges, where tables will be distributed to enable privacy and also ensure social distancing. There will also be multiple meeting spaces dedicated to exhibitors where you can hold meetings with your visitors.
As part of our commitment to sustainability we have reduced the stand height from 5 to 4 meters in 2020. A lower height for every stand will still allow everyone the same visibility but will have a massive impact on the materials used and waste generated after the event.
Due to COVID-19 measures, overnight working will not be allowed due to overnight sanitization requirements – a consistent standard to reduce the build and breakdown resource impact has been identified as one measure to assist.
Online pre-registration including a health declaration will be required to attend the event to reduce the crowds in the registration areas. Onsite registration will not be possible. The entrances and registration areas will be spread around the venue and will be designed to allow for safe queueing and contact-less access into the venue.
Crowd Density Modelling calculations have been done to determine how many attendees can be in the halls at one single point in time. The number of attendees that can enter the venue depends on the size of the event and the space available. CPhI has a large enough space to accommodate all historic number of attendees.
Our refund guarantees are applicable in cases of government-imposed travel restrictions. If companies make their own decision not to travel, then refunds will not be applied but there is also the right of cancellation for customers subject to payment of a cancellation charge if they chose to exercise this right.
We’ve created a smoother onboarding experience from registration through to the platform. Once in the platform search, filter and bookmark options are all available to help you find what you’re looking for as quickly as possible. The more you interact the more the platform supports your search with AI-driven recommendations.
Within this new platform the video feature is more robust, keeping disruption during the virtual meeting to a minimum.
