- Identify as a Start-Up, introducing an innovative concept to the market: a product or solution that is scalable and will positively impact multiple end-users
- Active in the Pharma, Biopharma, Digital, or Medical Device Sector
- Have a product at proof of concept, commercialized, or prototype stage
- Can commit to attending CPHI Milan 2026 in person
- Qualify as a micro or small enterprise, according to the EU definition (fewer than 50 full-time employees and a turnover of less than 10 million EUR annually)
- Embodies the Start-Up essential characteristics of growth and scalability
- Have been in business for no longer than 10 years
- Has not exhibited before at CPHI Worldwide as a full-scale exhibitor

What is the Scale-Up Market?
The Scale-Up initiative is designed to support emerging and small-sized enterprises as they transition to the next level of growth. We are inviting applicants from every sector of the pharmaceutical supply chain, from drug development and manufacturing to distribution and technology services.
The Scale-Up Market aims to foster innovation and facilitate the scaling process for companies ready to advance their operations. By embracing both Start-Ups and Scale-Ups we ensure a diverse and dynamic ecosystem, encouraging cutting-edge solutions and transformative advancements within the pharmaceutical industry.
Do you classify as a Scale-Up?
We are looking for companies that:
- Are active in the Pharma, Biopharma, Digital, or Medical Device Sector
- Have a working prototype, product or innovation to display
- Can commit to attending CPHI Worldwide 2025 in Frankfurt in person
- Qualify as a small enterprise, according to the EU definition (fewer than 250 persons and which have an annual turnover not exceeding 50 million EUR annually)
- Embodies the Scale-Up essential characteristics of further growth potential and ambition
- Have been in business for 8-12 years
- Has not exhibited before at CPHI Worldwide as a full-scale exhibitor or a Start-Up for more than three years
