CPhI is taking place in Milan for the first time since 2007, and we’re excited! Of course, travel in the time of a global pandemic comes with a set of guidelines and requirements.

The entry guidelines for Italy depend on the country you are traveling from and are subject to change. For the most up to date requirements, we advise you take a look at the Italian Ministry of Health’s website.

At the Event & the Green Pass

Following current Italian government protocols, access to CPhI Worldwide 2021 must be accompanied by the possession of the Green Pass which covers one of the requirements specified below (in Italian or English):

  • Completion of the vaccination cycle with a vaccine authorised by the EMA (or a certificate of administration of the first dose at least 14 days prior – valid only within ITALY and the EU, with QR code)
  • Proof of a rapid molecular or antigen test with negative results within the previous 48 hours
  • Certificate of recovery from Covid-19 infection within the previous 6 months

Other onsite protocols for prevention of the spread of Covid-19 will be:

  • Body temperature check
  • Requirement to a wear a face mask at all times
  • Social distance of at least 1 metre (3ft)

Rules regarding the attendance of events are subject to change. For the latest information, please visit the Italian Ministry of Health’s website.

Getting into the venue

CPhI Worldwide in Milan will operate 3 venue entrances: South, East and West.

Within these main entrances, Exhibitors should proceed to the left to go to the exhibitor entry points. Here you will need to present your Green Pass and undergo a quick temperature check. Your digital badge will be scanned and you will be able to enter the halls from this point. It is important that exhibitors do not proceed up the stairs to the Ponte dei Mari as it might be impossible to access the halls from there before the show starts.

Attendees will need to present their Green Pass and undergo a quick temperature check, after which they may make their way upstairs to the Ponte dei Mari. From there, they will be able to enter the halls when the show opens. Your digital badge will be scanned upon first entry of the halls.

IMPORTANT: there will be no opportunity to register at the Fiera Milano – all attendees must register online before making their way to the venue.

What’s new this year?

It’s been 2 years since CPhI Worldwide last took place, and much has happened during this time. Being at CPhI Worldwide 2021 will be a bit different to what you’re used to, following the global pandemic, but also in light of our new sustainability objectives.

The biggest changes are listed below:

  • Accessing the venue will be subject to a temperature and Green Pass check
  • Social distancing of 1m (3ft)
  • Requirement to wear a face mask at all times
  • We are going paperless in line with our new sustainability objectives! This means there will be no printed catalogues, event guides or show dailies, no magazine distribution, no lanyards and no printed badges!
  • Badges are digital and can be accessed through the CPhI app after registration.
  • Registration at the Fiera Milano venue will not be possible – we ask all interested parties to ensure you register before making your way to the venue
  • Navigation at CPhI Worldwide will be supported through the CPhI app – through this app you can find the floorplan and exhibitor list, as well as your digital badge!
